Roadcraft: Crash Simulator

I love these games. Spintires and Snowrunner have consumed a fair bit of my time over the years. I enjoy driving on dirt roads IRL so of course I'm intrigued by a simulated version with vehicles I certainly won't ever get behind the wheel of.
So when I saw Roadcraft announced my curiosity was piqued.
Tried the demo. Wasn't much on offer there, but it was enough for me to convince myself to put in for a pre-order (I'll never learn istg).
Wasn't quite feeling well the 20th when it came out. Few days passed and I finally got around to trying it and I wish I hadn't.
It's been years since I've had a troubleshoot a game and usually it's for minor inconveniences. Roadcraft? It refused to even launch. Took me a little while to remember some of the general steps to try.

First was to verify files. All good.
Next I disabled my undervolt on my GPU (Ventus 3x 3080Ti 12GB) and that actually provided some progress. Game was able to compile it's shaders and least let me into see the menus. But still wasn't getting into the game.
On a whim I decided to move the game install from a Sandisk SATA SSD to my Samsung 970 EVO m.2 and this apparently was a great move...the game will load and let me play! For a little while.
What I have experienced (ignoring the constant crashing) is a game play loop I think I will really enjoy. There is some tedium but it almost feels requisite for these games. It's very nice looking, the world is moderately fun to explore. The chaos of getting stuck/tipping seems to be pretty reduced from the others (though I still haven't wrapped up Scenario 2 yet so it may get harder idk).

At some point I'll freely admit I should just my losses and wait for a patch, hoping that improves stability. I've played too much to ask for a Steam refund I think. I don't want to refund it. I want to play it lol.
