I think I quite like virtualization.

Been sleeping on hyper-v for ages. Too distracted with Proxmox to investigate it thoroughly.

Docker is quite fun & amazing as well. I've lost track of how many services I have tinkered with over the last week alone.

Started using Cloudflare yesterday, setup a wild card certificate finally. Got a email setup & all the goofy (to me) records etc on my registrar & Cloudflare. Didn't note any of it down cause why would I 😂

There's the host of this blog lol. HP Prodesk 800 G4 something something. Intel 8500 with 16 GB RAM and 256GB SSD from eBay. Mainly got it to run Repetier for the Prusa 3D Printer there but ended up wanting to try Proxmox out. It still offers Repetier, but I've got another VM for RTL-SDR streaming and a third for mainly focusing on Docker containers like Ghost, HASS, and a few others.

Seems like a potent little machine. I've also got a few ThinkCentre mini PC around, one at work running a few services and a spare I like to tinker with occasionally (it has Fedora on it as I'd never really used it before).

I've also been getting way more use out of my lil Ideapad3. Super under powered, takes it a moment to even start Discord, but for basic SSH maintenance and dicking around on the net, or streaming video for literally hours at a time, it's hard to beat.

The external battery on my T480 I discovered quite badly bulged this morning. Amazon merchant is sending a replacement but while it's at half capacity figure this little guy can get some use.

Both make great backpack computers but I think the T480 wins out with a better keyboard and especially the red nipple! I keep reaching for it on here and I'm disappointed every time.

I just spent a considerable chunk of time learning about DNS records, email services etc but I think it'll come in handy at work in the next few days lol
