I didn't intend on a minor restructure of the network today I swears it. But next thing you know friggin DNS servers are moving all over the place. Also got Immich up and running and it got me kinda pondering.
Both Home Assistant (HASS) and Immich I put off installing even though like everything I've read has been pretty much raving. Same goes for Grafana. There is some invisible hurdle I don't want to cross. TBF they all vary a fair bit in their difficulty and in how they are challenging.
I found installation of HASS to be a breeze but the configuration after that has been ranging from easy peasy to WTF am I doing and the old just enter shit until it works method. Immich wasn't bad but I got punked for a little while because nginx was getting huffy over the file transfer size. Quick edit there and that was off to the races. But instead of installing Grafana I've been dicking around with HASS and Heimdall piecing together some vague dashboard-esque setup.
It's odd lol
I'm sure I'll break down eventually. Shit half the services I'm running I installed on a whim and now I use them with regularity.
It's fun to experiment around anyways.
